Spanish Language Assistant (Part Time)

Abingdon School is an outstanding independent school for pupils aged 11 to 18 conveniently situated in a beautiful area near Oxford, UK. The Modern Languages department wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, well-organised and engaging fluent Spanish Language Assistant to teach motivated Fifth Years (National Curriculum Year 11) and Sixth formers. This opportunity is available for the academic year 2024/25 or on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work to develop pupils' spoken Spanish skills and appreciation of Hispanic cultures, as well as playing an integral role in their preparation for public examinations. The person appointed will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for the subject, will strive to inspire and motivate our pupils, and play an important role in promoting Spanish across the School.

This post is term time only (34 weeks). Term time is defined as the published school calendar dates including INSET days prior to the start of term. The Spanish Assistant will generally work on average 25 hours per week as agreed with the Head of Spanish.

We offer an attractive employment package which includes an hourly rate of £20.76.
