Full Job Description

Perform soldering tasks on electronic components and circuit boards
- Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints to ensure accurate soldering
- Use power tools and hand tools to assemble and disassemble components
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, Note: Prior experience as a solderer or in a similar role is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate the necessary skills and aptitude.

Role and further responsibilities:

Supervision of all Testing Procedures

o Operate and maintain all test equipment in line with Health and Safety policies

o Carry out safe and effective testing on products as required

o Develop and operate product batch, specification, and quality testing programme

o Maintain effective reportage on product testing and communicate results clearly

o Ensure all testing areas are clearly marked and kept clean

General Warehouse

o Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements

o Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

o Processing orders

o Operating IT systems

o Ensuring delivery deadlines are met

o Maintenance of equipment

Returns

o Processing returns

o Testing products

o Filling out test reports

Stock

o Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate

o Maintaining layout and ensure efficient space utilisation

o Monitoring stock of packaging and accessories and re-ordering

o Ensuring a good rotational stock system

Deliveries

o Booking in stock and liaising with the office when deliveries have arrived

o Testing products from new deliveries and filling out test reports

Display boards

o Making displays and prioritising customer orders

o Maintaining high standards whilst ensuring deadlines are met

o Monitoring stock of display boards

Bespoke LED Strip Production

o Responsibility for maintaining a safe and effective production area and equipment

o Ensure relevant tools, accessories and associated products are available to fulfil demand

o Communicate with the office team to prioritise workload and maximise effective workflow

o Oversee production carried out by other staff - focus on safety, quality and meeting deadlines

o Cutting, tailing and soldering striplights to customer's specific requirements

o Testing, quality control and labelling of LED strip and accessories

o Maintaining a high standard whilst ensuring deadlines are met

Exhibitions

o Responsible for transporting equipment to and from exhibitions if required

o Assisting in the set up and breakdown of the exhibition stand if required

Mechanical knowledge and understanding of soldering techniques
- Experience using power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, o Proven work experience in warehousing

o Lighting / Electrical qualifications or experience are favorable but not essential

· Full UK Driving License is valued

· Reach truck license is valued,
