Social Media Content Creator

Are you a creative person with a passion for social media, then come and join our social media team! You will be responsible for producing engaging and informative multimedia content for our Home and DIY brands across a variety of social platforms.

As part of the team, you will report to the Social Media Manager and be tasked with creating and editing various types of content such as videos, social media posts and design marketing materials to showcase the wide range of products within our brands. You will help grow our individual social media accounts and drive the delivery of key messaging to our target audience.

Main Duties

• Create and publish engaging content for various social media/website platforms.


• Conduct research to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.


• Collaborate with the Marketing/Design teams to create content that aligns with the company's goals and brand identity.


• Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent content production and timely delivery.


• Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms to increase visibility and reach.


• Analyse content performance metrics such as views, engagement, and click through rates to inform future content strategies.
  
  Knowledge and use of social platforms including Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, TikTok and use of content management platforms.


• Proficiency in image editing and video editing software such as the Adobe suite, Canva, etc.


• Strong copywriting skills


• Organisational and time management skills


• Confident in working in a fast paced and fluid environment.


• Creativity and a 'think outside the box' mentality., Diploma of Higher Education (required), Copywriting: 1 year (required)


• Image and Video Editing: 1 year (required)


• Instragram and Tik Tok: 1 year (required)


• Social Media Platforms: 1 year (required)


• Canva & Adobe Suite: 1 year (required)
