Full Job Description

The role of Pro-Shop Assistant is a key role within the Golf and Country Club. In addition to ensuring the pro-shop is sufficiently stocked with all the equipment and refreshments needed to satisfy the needs of members and guests, it also plays a key role in acting as an ambassador for the club and ensuring that everyone has an excellent customer experience., 1. To be the main point of contact for all customers of the pro-shop, meeting and greeting them in a welcoming and positive manner to ensure their needs are met and they have a great experience whilst at the club.

2. To be responsible for tracking sales, registering memberships and guests and co-ordinating tee times to ensure all visitors and members enjoy the experience of being at the club.

3. To co-ordinate and register players for tournaments, matches and competitions, enabling them to be fully informed about where they need to be and when, club rules and standards of conduct.

4. To open and close the pro-shop, ensuring that it is opened adequately, is presented in a tidy and professional state, and closed securely at the end of each day.

5. To be responsible for the daily recording and reconciliations of all monies taken, ensuring that finances and cash flow are accurately accounted for.

6. Taking regular stock inventories to ensure adequate levels are stock are maintained and effectively recorded.

7. To be responsible for making all necessary purchases of supplies and materials within the approved budget to ensure the shop continues to operate effectively.

8. To complete ad-hoc tasks, as relevant to your role, when as directed by the management team.

Basic computer skills (excel, word, booking software)
Maths - C at GCSE level
A basic knowledge of golf is desired but not essential

Hours:
This role is 20 hours per week spread over 2 x 10 hour days. 7am-5pm Sundays and 8am-6pm either a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. More hours may also be available.
