Full Job Description

Essentia provide effective management and co-ordination of all non-clinical support services which are vital to the Trust functioning effectively, efficiently and economically to safely meet its overall objectives and continuing success.

The Building Maintenance & Improvement Department which covers all traditional 'Estates functions' is primarily responsible for providing professional, effective and efficient customer focused reactive and planned maintenance services to the Trusts buildings.

The Department is also responsible for minor improvements, refurbishment works, also replacement programmes, delegated capital projects and provides similar services to other third party organisations through Service Level Agreements. The Department works very closely with the Capital Projects, Engineering and Operation's teams together with the end-user for successful delivery of all of these services

The Building Maintenance Team have exciting opportunities for Shift Multi Skilled Craftsperson's to play a key role in the Building Maintenance Service within St Thomas's Hospital, ensuring they meet the required standards in relation to quality of service. You will have an NVQ Level 2 in a Building Maintenance field or equivalent. The successful candidates will be a self starters with proven skills.

Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills are essential for this role, with the successful candidates operating across organisational boundaries.The posts are part of the Essentia Building Maintenance Team and report to the Building Maintenance Team Manager.
