Full Job Description

  • You will manage the site operational activity on a shift by shift basis to ensure pipeline demands are met

  • You will ensure all operational activities are carried out in compliance with our safety management systems, this includes management of contractors and preparing, issuing and controlling permits to work

  • The role requires liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the ongoing safe and reliable operation of the site

  • Also, you will Have direct responsibility for the output from the SMR to ensure that customer demands are satisfied in accordance with local operating procedures

  • And lastly, you will operate plant to obtain maximum performance and ensure that purity specifications are achieved. Monitor and maintain individual plant efficiency to provide optimum plant throughput in accordance with design specifications

    Suitable candidates ideally will be educated to HNC level in an engineering subject

  • A broad knowledge of Steam Methane Reformer operation or similar plant is desirable

  • You will need to have an aptitude for problem solving, planning and coping with the demands of operating, and leading a team under pressure

  • Also, proficiency in the production of regular management reports and the ability to own and manage issues of an inter-disciplinary nature will be important attributes

  • And lastly, you will also need to be an excellent communicator, a good decision-maker, and be able to demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative. NEBOSH certificate preferred
