Full Job Description
- Ensure the budget is met and used to maximise productivity
- Manage the frontline collection service and supervise up to 60 employees
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently
- Reduce lost work hours due to sickness, accidents and injuries
- Manage fleet compliance including daily checks and e nsure vehicles are compliant with the Road Transport Directive, Working Time Regulations and Waste Regulations
- Carry out disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage staff usage and agency costs
- Manage the resources of the contract to maximise profitability, legal compliance and safety performance
Experience in training staff and delivering toolbox talks, e.g. manual handling trainer - Strong people management and team leadership skills
- Driving Licence
- Qualified Driver Assessor - Desirable
- IOSH - Desirable
- National/International CPC Holder - Desirable

Salary: £36,000 per annum, with an annual performance bonus plus Veolia benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hou rs per week. Working 1 in 4 Saturdays, (additional 10 hours will be required every other week)
Location: Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility, 43 Devon Street, London SE15 1AL
