WHAT YOU'LL DO

Join our dynamic Finance Function in the BCG London office as a Senior Tax and Partnership Accountant. In this role, you will ensure tax, partnership, and regulatory compliance across the BCG UK Group while acting as a strategic business partner to various functions. Reporting to the Tax Senior Manager, you will regularly collaborate with the UK and EMESA Tax Senior Directors, as well as the broader Finance team.

What you'll do

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Work alongside the Partnership Accountant and act as an alternative contact for Partners. Responsibilities include preparing and accounting for profit statements, drawings, tax reserves, and tax payments.

  • Oversee VAT, GST, WHT, Corporate, and Partnership tax payments, reporting, and compliance.

  • Liaise with external advisers on tax compliance, including the provision of supporting analysis.

  • Manage accounting for tax provisions, balance sheet reconciliations, and reserves.

  • Review and develop relevant process notes.


  • Process Improvement and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Global Tax and Accounting on process improvements, including the automation of routine activities and transition to offshore hubs.

  • Build relationships with the wider finance function to ensure the timely provision of information.

  • Contribute to group consolidation and statutory financial statements, as well as external audit processes.

  • Transition IR35 compliance from Local Finance to the Contingent Worker team.


  • Tax controversy and governance:
  • Provide support with the HMRC relationship, including dealing with enquiries, virtual or onsite compliance checks, ongoing business risk reviews, and maintenance of governance framework.

  • Undertake regular compliance reviews and collaborate on tax strategy, governance, and controls improvements.

  • YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

    Essential
  • Partnership accounting and tax experience

  • Excellent tax and statutory compliance knowledge

  • Previous employment in a busy Finance department of a multinational consultancy

  • A keen interest in providing insight using Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Power Point, Gen AI etc


  • Desirable
  • Experience with SAP S4Hana

  • Exposure to the HMRC large business programme
