Full Job Description
- Supports 25 individuals, with Learning disabilities and Autism.
- The sessions we offer include shopping, day trips, swimming, cookery, gardening (allotment), woodwork, travel training and arts and crafts.
- The service also provides support for people who would like to move on to the next step, whether it be living independently, learning to drive or finding a job
- Supporting adults to achieve their goals.
- To guide, prompt, support individuals to undertake activities and learn new skills.
- To be part of a team around key individuals.
- Support with mentoring, development and supervision of team members.
- Assist with day-day management of running the service.
- To be aware of the role of the relevant care regulatory body (CQC) and the statutory standards required for the work setting.
- Assist to develop and maintain a responsive support service to people with autism.
You will be a valued member of our support team and have a working knowledge of care standards and related legislation and have good report writing skills. You should be able demonstrate how you are able to lead and motivate a team to reach agreed outcomes and uphold the values of the organisation.
You should have a NVQ Level 3 Qualification or equivalent and have good IT skills and a basic knowledge of MS Office.
