We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Senior Support worker.

  • Overseeing the organising of activities - The young adults who we support enjoy active lifestyles; walking, swimming, golf, pubs, trampolining, lunch out, keeping in touch with families, days out, shopping etc.

  • Shifts will include 7am-2pm, 2pm to 9pm and 7am to 9pm. 42 hours to be worked over 5 days and will include weekend working. Sleep ins will be required to cover night shifts on occasion.

  • Who you are:
  • An existing Senior Support worker or an experienced Support worker looking to progress.

  • Flexible with a can-do attitude.

  • A motivated and passionate individual that can make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

  • An NVQ level 3 is desirable.

    We are looking for a Senior Support Worker for our modern, bright and well-equipped working environment based in Borrowash, just outside Derby.
    At Paxton House we support people between the ages of 18-35 with a range of needs including learning disabilities, behaviours that are perceived to be challenging, non-verbal communication and/or autistic spectrum disorders.

  • What you'll be doing:
  • Assist in managing the care of the people that live with us, monitoring the quality and delivery of the service.

  • Lead by example, motivate and develop the team to deliver a high-quality provision.

  • Promoting independence with the people we support with all aspects of personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working and general life skills.

  • In house activities - baking, art/crafts, board games, sensory activities, reading etc.
