Senior Software Engineer - AWS Node - Experimentation Enablement - Contract Inside IR35 [UK]

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working with our media client who are looking to expand and enhance their experimentation platform to enable their people to run experiments more quickly, easily and with reliable results. This will empower consuming teams to provide their audiences with better experiences backed by data.

The team creates and supports reliable and scalable cloud-based services on Amazon Web Services, using Git version control and following pair programming and Test Driven Development practices.

The successful applicant will be an expert TypeScript (or JavaScript) developer to enhance our UI elements built using React/Next JS, knowledge of Node/NVM packages and have experience in Python/DBT for establishing data pipelines.

• CodeBuild, CodePipline or Jenkins


• PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and Redis, have expertise in TypeScript or JavaScript


• have good Python knowledge


• have experience working with AWS services


• have experience of deployment pipelines such as CodeBuild


• have excellent database knowledge and write SQL queries


• ideally be experienced with data pipelines and using DBT (desired)


• have a strong willingness to learn and be a keen team player


• have professional experience of working in projects using Agile development processes


• have experience of writing and taking responsibility for technical documentation, A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.


• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.


• Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.


• Experience with providing coaching and mentoring


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.


• Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
