Full Job Description

  • £41,870 + Company Car / Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Benefits

  • Can be based anywhere in the South of England.

  • What will I be doing?
  • You will prepare and carry out SHEQ audits (both alone and as a member of a team) across all SUEZ resource & recycling UK premises and business activities (including contractors and sub-contractors where required).

  • This may, from time to time, include other SUEZ BU's both within and outside the UK. Following your audits, you will prepare reports on levels of compliance and raise corrective actions as required.

  • You will also be required to contribute to the evaluation and auditing of suppliers and contractors to ensure they meet necessary Health & Safety standards required for them to trade with us.

  • You may be required to participate in the recommendation of changes in policies, procedures and working practices, help monitor the review and revision of SHEQ policies & procedures to ensure continued compliance with all legal and other relevant requirements in conjunction with members of operational support teams.

Senior SHEQ Auditors will ideally hold a level of professional status requiring continuous professional development in both Health & Safety and Environmental practice and experience in auditing.

  • Must be au fait with ISO 45001.

  • However, it is recognised that applicants are more likely to hold such a level in one or the other discipline and are less likely to be equally qualified in both. Therefore, applicants must hold relevant qualifications at a suitable level that collectively span both disciplines, and this should include a recognised ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 auditing qualification

  • The successful applicant will be expected to engage positively in continuous professional development in order to increase their qualifications and professional status to achieve parity of status at a high level across both disciplines.

  • Applicants should be aware that whilst there will be a basic regional focus, the demands of this role are such that there will be extensive travel around the UK and frequent nights away from home.

  • The successful applicant should live within or have easy access to the South of England.
