Full Job Description

The Senior Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely input of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), observing the rules of real time data entry. All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality To supervise reception staff and their activities related to reception To be responsible for organising and maintaining the receptionists rota ensuring adequate cover is maintained at all times. Where areas of difficulty arise, the post holder should liaise with the Administration Manager in order to resolve them To co-ordinate the training of all new/bank reception staff. To ensure they are familiar with the local and Trust Policies and procedures required to carry out reception duties in the department of Respiratory Medicine To regularly monitor and evaluate the procedures carried out by their team, initiating changes if discrepancies arise To be responsible for
ensuring that all required notes and procedural documentation is available for patients attending the department.

This will require the monitoring and auditing of Reception activity Receive patients, confirm demographic details on arrival to clinic Ensure Regulations for Overseas Visitors are met including EC patients Produce new front sheet and labels if there are any amendments.
