Full Job Description

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Moving and Handling Advisor which is a specialist role within our service:
- To provide advice and support, including written reports and plans, in relation to risk assessments and safeguarding issues regarding the safe transfer and personal care needs of pupils who have physical difficulties, to schools across Hull.
- To provide advice and support to schools regarding the building modification, equipment and staff training implications of a wide range of complex physical difficulties.
- To develop, deliver and evaluate a programme of training and support to school staff (Centaur accredited) which complies with MHOR legislation regarding the safe moving and handling of children.
- To liaise closely with and provide technical advice to health and social care professionals including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

The Integrated Physical and Sensory Service (IPaSS) offers support to children with vision, hearing and physical difficulties in a range of settings across the city.
