Full Job Description

Support the overarching system-wide transformation programme leading the redesign of services in priority areas, improving outcomes for patients and delivering improved financial and productivity efficiencies. Undertake a Programme Lead role for the co-ordination and delivery of a programme of work. Undertake a proactive role in sharing cross-organisational best practice across the system, identifying actions to reduce unwarranted variation across both counties. Apply exemplary communications skills to deal appropriately with very sensitive information about performance and change. Maximise clinical leadership in the development and delivery of programmes, working in partnership with ICB Clinical Leads and clinical leads in other organisations. Inform decision-making on a range of complex/highly complex project issues where there may be more than one course of action; interpret national guidance and develops expertise within their realms of responsibility Develop clinical policies,
protocols and procedures to support the safe introduction or redesign of clinical pathways and services. Engage patient representatives, patient groups and other stakeholders to secure beneficial change and the most effective outcome for patients. Apply project and programme management capabilities to support the development of clinical pathways and services. Line-management supervision, personal and professional support and development mentorship to colleagues within the Team as agreed with Delivery Leads. The post holder will Deputise for Delivery Leads, as required. In general, the post holder will be required to: Operate effectively in a flexible and demanding environment and proactively engage with stakeholders. Proactively build good working relationships and provide information and advice to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues. Deliver reporting requirements including improvement plans and highlight reports. Provide and
receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, including presenting information about projects and dependencies to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in formal settings. Manage potentially aggressive and/or antagonistic situations with stakeholders within change programmes for successful outcomes. Deal with complex and conflicting day-to-day workload including workshops, meetings, one to one communications and events. Employ effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills to enable stakeholder relationships to deliver objectives over the duration of the tenure/project/ programme. Develop effective relationships with the local authorities, provider organisations and member GP practices that support the delivery of effective health and care services. Develop effective service specifications and liaise with colleagues in contracting or at Place to ensure that these are effectively commissioned and monitored. Plan and co-ordinate the implementation
of function specific strategies, protocols and processes for the achievement of organisational objectives. Undertake engagement events and opportunities with patient representatives, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure that lived experience and front-line practitioners experience inform the scope, delivery and decision-making of projects. Plan and develop business plans and funding applications.
