Full Job Description

  • Support the Lead, Content Acquisitions, Partnerships and Co-Productions, and local kids editorial leads, in defining and executing the 3rd party content strategy for EMEA kids with a specific focus on Max, Cartoon Network and Cartoonito.

  • Primary point of contact within the Kids EMEA Content Strategy & Acquisitions team for agreed 3rd party distributors and producers. Responsible for sourcing avails, taking pitches, reviewing and feeding back on creative materials.

  • Manage WBD Kids EMEA's working relationships with 3rd party content creators and content providers.

  • Editorial input across editorial views across EMEA

  • Supervision and mentoring of 2 acquisition coordinators.

  • Lead the internal production process for select 3rd party co-productions, liaising with compliance, legal and relevant editorial leads and providing production notes and guidance to ensure content meets expected editorial standards.

  • Leading 2-3 co-productions a year through WBD's internal production process, ensuring that final deliveries are of the required editorial standard.

  • Manage the acquisition and co-production of up to 100 hours of kids and family content each year for Cartoon Network, Cartoonito and Max.

  • Support the Lead to work with international acquisitions and co-production teams aligning priorities globally and regionally wherever possible.

  • Regularly represent WBD Kids EMEA at events and markets (e.g. Mip, Mipcom, Kidscreen, Annecy, Cartoon Forum) as required.

  • Support in managing deal negotiations with managed distributors (PAAFs, deal proposals, contract, payments), in collaboration with legal and finance teams.

    10+ years of proven experience within the kids content industry with a strong list of contacts amongst distributors and producers worldwide with excellent knowledge of kids content and global kids platforms.

  • Experience in people management/ leading a team.

  • Demonstrable experience of working in content production, with good knowledge and understanding of the production process, specifically with kids animation.

  • Proven experience, and professional training, in negotiating and executing deals within designated budgets
