    Chartered or a highly experienced Engineer working towards CEng (min 10 years relevant experience required)

  • Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary projects to achieve customer's programme, cost, and quality expectations

  • Extensive design and construction experience in highways including review of design software outputs

  • Experience of commercial awareness in project delivery

  • Extensive experience of Local Authority design standards and contracts

  • Evidence of developing and mentoring staff

  • Experience of design resource planning and programme management

  • Evidence of managing H&S in design and construction

  • Good understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations

  • Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents and administration

  • Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards

  • Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous)

  • Full UK/EEC driving licence
