Chartered or a highly experienced Engineer working towards CEng (min 10 years relevant experience required) - Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary projects to achieve customer's programme, cost, and quality expectations
- Extensive design and construction experience in highways including review of design software outputs
- Experience of commercial awareness in project delivery
- Extensive experience of Local Authority design standards and contracts
- Evidence of developing and mentoring staff
- Experience of design resource planning and programme management
- Evidence of managing H&S in design and construction
- Good understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations
- Computer literate particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents and administration
- Knowledge of highway design guidance and standards including Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 (Low Traffic Neighbourhood), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), MCDHW and other relevant codes of practice and design standards
- Ability to compile specifications and Bills of Quantities (BoQ)
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience would be advantageous)
- Full UK/EEC driving licence
