Senior Estimator

As the Senior Estimator you will be responsible for receiving, logging and reviewing ITTs. You will be raising technical queries. You will need to coordinate with subject matter experts for advice and technical input. You will need to price tenders from first principals that can be easily followed and amended throughout negotiations. You will need to liaise with and issuing ITTs to the supply chain for market pricing and benchmarking.
You will be responsible for the creation of the project risk register. You will support in the creation of the tender assumptions register for submission. You will assist with the pricing of compensation events and change during construction. You will prepare and deliver presentations to the client and operational/commercial team., This is an opportunity for individuals who are looking to join an organisation that values integrity, safety, and diversity. Do you have extensive experience in a similar role with Main or Subcontractor?
Do you have strong Electrical network distribution knowledge?
Are you able to understand design and construction drawings?
Do you have excellent MS Excel and analytical skills?
Do you have excellent knowledge of the NEC 3 Contracts?
Are you able to understand HAUC specification?
Do you have excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure?
Do you have Multi Utility experience? This would be highly advantageous
Do you have formal training in Quantity Surveying or Cost Engineering? This would be advantageous

Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit a Senior Estimator to support our HS2 multi utilities diversion contracts from our Coleshill and Burton Green Project Offices in the West Midlands.

As the Senior Estimator you will be part of our site Commercial and Operational team who are responsible for estimating and tendering for new works with existing and new clients already engaged by HS2.

HS2 is a state-of-the-art, high-speed line critical for the UK's low-carbon transport future. It will provide much needed rail capacity across the country and is integral to rail projects in the North and Midlands. This all helps to re-balance the UK economy. Our works are performed on behalf of Tier 1 Joint Venture organisations across the prestigious HS2 Phase 1 project from London to Birmingham.
