Senior Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career and you can look forward to:

· Taking responsibility for engineering new low/zero carbon district heating and decarbonising existing systems - both your own designs and supervision of others

· Designing and reviewing district energy systems at all stages across their lifecycle from inception through commercial operation

· Coordinating and reviewing modelling of the technical and commercial aspects of district energy plant operations

· Managing collaborative client and contractor relationships

· Undertaking site inspections, snagging and witness of commissioning for assets being built ahead of adoption or handover from our contractors

· Developing project budgets and estimates, ensuring designs meet requirements

· Developing site-specific energy strategies and the coordinated design of energy centres, heat networks and cooling projects.

· Reviewing design software used in the development of heat network design and implementing Standards and Procedures

We're looking for someone with the drive and passion to deliver the most efficient, and sustainable, heat network solutions for our customers. You'll be an experienced heat network engineer who is well on the way towards Chartered Engineer status with an appropriate professional institution. This role will require experience of the heat network industry but we will expect to be providing the additional training and support you need to take your career to the next level.

You'll be a creative problem solver with great attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will have good commercial awareness and knowledge of project management and contract management procedures.
