Full Job Description

  • Develop and implement earned communication strategies and storylines across PR, influencer marketing, events, brand partnerships and fan communities for our brand and product portfolio

  • Play a part in driving wider local marketing strategy as part of the UK & Ireland Marketing leadership team

  • Oversee development of plans to deliver campaigns in the context of our Owned, Earned, Shared and Paid (OESP) integrated marketing process, advising and supporting the team to deliver first class executions

  • Drive performance tracking to ensure the impact of earned work is accurately measured and understood and takeaways are implemented

  • Collaborate seamlessly with all partners involved in campaign development, internally and externally, and work closely with Global and Western Europe comms teams to ensure local requirements are well represented in global campaigns

  • Identify and lead development of local brand partnerships and drive impactful integration into relevant campaigns to achieve aligned objectives

  • Serve as primary media relations and issues management specialist for LEGO UK & Ireland and be key point of contact for media, partners and industry associations

  • Overall management of PR and events agencies and local press office, The Senior Brand Relations Manager role sits within the UK & Ireland Marketing team and plays a critical role in supporting our reputation externally, driving earned activity that will help the LEGO brand continue to grow and support the LEGO Group's business objectives. You will be at the forefront of implementing OESP (owned, earned, shared and paid) campaigns that engage our audiences and build brand love.

    Proven experience in a media, agency or communications role.

  • Strong background delivering proactive campaigns or stories that generate standout storytelling for the brand/company.

  • Solid media relations and agency management experience with a proven track record of results.

  • Crisis communications either in practice or understanding of the importance

  • Outstanding communications skills, writing ability and a track record in generating and maintaining relationships

  • Experience of influencer outreach and relations

  • Confidence representing yourself and the importance of earned communications in senior business environments

  • Strong collaborator both in internal multifunctional teams and with external agencies

  • A genuine passion for brand communications, storytelling and brand protection

  • Experience of working in complex, global organisations and managing brand communications in a toy, gaming or major entertainment license is a strong plus

  • Strong project management skills and dedication to quality and attention to detail

  • Self-starting leader with the ability to motivate others

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and comfortable managing several projects at once

  • Collaborative approach and adept at problem solving
