Full Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in the provision of a range of different service offerings provided by the Structured Finance team, which may include:

  • Performance of due diligence and 'agreed upon procedure' (AUP) engagements (predominantly relating to securitisation transactions or whole loan portfolio transactions), including:

  • Client take-on procedures - helping ensure we know we know who we are working for.

  • Drafting of engagement letters (with guidance from the team) - helping ensure we negotiate the appropriate terms and conditions with each client.

  • Assistance with scoping of engagements - helping ensure we perform the work our client needs.

  • Performance of onsite and offsite fieldwork, working with other members of the team.

  • Working across various areas of an AUP scope, including but not limited to checking a sample of loans against a company's operational policies (e.g. underwriting, servicing and arrears, cash processing etc.), reading internal and external audit reports and IT reports, and summarising any major findings.

  • Drafting of reports, writing up results of work performed and eventually overseeing drafting of report sections by junior members of the team.

  • Assistance with resolution of any client queries.

  • Supporting the senior team with the demanding requirements of a transaction project cycle.

  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

  • Assisting our wider Structured Finance team on due diligence and assurance type engagements in support of a variety of structured finance type transactions. This will involve the learning and understanding of the assets and to confirm various data points to certain documentation and systems.

  • Assistance with business support activities including training, social activities, market research and ongoing client relationship development.

    A strong academic background

  • Ability to work to deadlines and, at times, a demanding workload

  • Outstanding written English

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Highly motivated and committed

  • Positive and ambitious attitude

  • Knowledge of current economic and market trends

  • Ability to develop strong client relationships

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Understanding of securitisation processes

  • Understanding of loans, mortgages and similar debt types

  • Experience performing due diligence in a structured lending environment

    Our hybrid working policy
