Full Job Description
Newark Orchard School is a Special School in Balderton providing education to 170 students with a range of special educational needs aged between 3 and 18.
One of our valued administration team is taking early retirement and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to work as part of our busy school office. You will provide administration support to the school as detailed in the job description. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable together with knowledge of management information and financial systems.
Together with the key responsibilities set out in the job descriptions, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently and appropriately with staff, pupils, parents and visitors
- Flexible and organisational skills
- Initiative to work independently but also work as part of a team
- Good numeracy and literacy skills preferably equivalent to GCSE Grade C
- Excellent computing skills - the post holder will be expected to use the Authority's standard computer hardware and software packages where appropriate
- A supportive and talented staff team
- The opportunity to learn new skills
- A great working environment in a new school building
