Full Job Description

The Accounts Clerk will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of a company's financial department. The person will be responsible for various tasks related to financial matters and supporting the overall accounting functions within the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Invoices: Raise invoices on the system (KashFlow) and email out to the relevant customers in the absence of the senior accounts clerk.


  • Petty cash: Issue petty cash to the various departments. Record the petty cash on the petty cash spreadsheet.


  • Ordering items: Order items for the company.


  • Checking of invoices: Check staff invoices against the internal database (When I work) and other various invoices.


  • Checking deliveries: Check deliveries as they arrive and forward to the relevant department.


  • Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers and customers to resolve any billing or payment issues and ensure smooth financial operations. Assist the departments and staff within Serenity Welfare with any financial queries.


  • Collating receipts: Collate receipts and assign them to the relevant statements.


  • Answering the telephone: Answer the telephone, forward calls or take messages for the relevant departments.


  • Filing/archiving documents and paperwork: To be carried out on a monthly basis.


  • Dealing with the maintenance of the building: To be responsible in the absence of the senior ac-counts clerk.


  • Provide support to senior accounts clerk: Any various ad hoc tasks.


  • Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and guide-lines, and company policies.
