Full Job Description
Full-time position as a SEN Teacher in a SEN School
- Working with students with special educational needs
- Planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs
- Supporting students with their learning and development
- Collaborating with SENCO and other staff members to create a supportive learning environment, Planning and teaching core and foundation subject lessons for 10 pupils working from pre-national curriculum levels through to national curriculum KS1
- The pupils have a range of severe learning difficulties and complex needs where a fully adapted curriculum is provided for them with repetition, total communication approaches and carefully scaffolded steps for progression are planned out
- Working with a supportive and specialised team of support staff
- Some of the pupils have medical needs, they are supported by fully trained staff
- Further CPD and support can be provided through out curriculum handbooks, in house training and CPD offer
- Assessment, recording and reporting in relation to pupil progress towards EHCP targets and curriculum targets on our assessment system required (competent levels of ICT)
- Working with multi professionals to ensure the pupils needs are met and strategies put into place

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
