SEN Midday Supervisory Assistant

The Southfield Trust is looking to appoint Midday Supervisory Assistants. Candidates should be motivated with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team assisting the pupils during the lunchtime period. This covers a wide range of activities.
You will work alongside a friendly and supportive team who have a wealth of expertise and are committed to the continuing professional development of all staff - offering a strong programme of in school training.

In September 2022 The Southfield Trust opened Summerdown School, a new, purpose built Special Free School. This school has increased the excellent range of provision across the Southfield Trust. Increased provision has created exciting opportunities across our special school multi-academy trust. The Trust has four schools, located across six, distinct school sites. All of our schools are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

The Southfield Multi Academy Trust consists of four exceptional special schools - The South Downs School, The Lindfield School, Hazel Court School and Summerdown School incorporating the Southfield Centre. Our schools provide the best possible educational opportunities for all their learners and their families.

• This is a fixed term contract until 23rd July 2024 with the possibility of an extension.


• The paid hours of work are 10 per week - Monday to Friday (part time hours).


• This is a term time only post which is paid 45.05 weeks per year.


• The salary is based on Single Status Grade 2.4 / £22,366 (1.0fte)


• As this post is part time/term-time only the salary will be paid pro rata of the full-time figure above.


• The actual post salary is £5,222 per annum
