Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced SEMH Teacher to help our children achieve a qualification within school.

Experience required within a School (preferably SEMH) and GCSE Maths & English and a teaching qualification.

Our children all have EHCP's and additional SEN and Behavioural needs which can result in physical intervention at times, all our staff are CPI trained and supported through training programmes to deal with challenging behaviours/situations.

As a school we offer a Nurturing/Thrive approach to our children at all times.

Person Specification:

A good understanding of the Independent School Standards- specifically Part 2.23
The ability to teach KS3/KS4
Ability to set realistic targets
Ability to manage change
Ability to prioritise tasks
Able to establish an ethos conducive to promoting good relationships whilst maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
Ability to problem solve, particularly under pressure
Experience:

Experience of teaching the National Curriculum
Experience of working with pupils with SEND or SEMH
Use assessment, reporting and recording systems
