Full Job Description
- Assisting with bedtime routines and ensuring the individual is comfortable and safe
- Providing walking assistance and supporting mobility with an assistance dog
- Using a hoist for safe transfers, as the individual is a wheelchair owner
- Maintaining a friendly and supportive environment, Seeking a compassionate and experienced Personal Assistant to assist a 67-year-old gentleman with evening care in the Eastbourne area. This role involves providing support with bedtime routines and walking assistance for an assistance dog.
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required
- Looking after pets
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative - Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety, Previous experience as a carer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of Personal Assistant insurance and safeguarding protocols
- Ability to use a hoist and assist with mobility
- Friendly and patient demeanor, with a compassionate approach to care
