Full Job Description

As a Security Vetting Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. To facilitate efficient and effective processing of security clearance for all relevant Babcock employees and contractors, in accordance with legislation, suggested best practice and Babcock processes and guidelines

Day-to-day, you'll initiate security clearance within SLA, and in line with relevant legislation for all relevant new employees and contractors. Process and monitor security clearance for relevant employees in line with relevant legislation. Working with all other Security Vetting team members; Babcock employees and prospective employees for example new starters awaiting vetting, as well as Line Manager and relevant HR Teams. Further responsibilities include:

  • Monitor employee records, to ensure appropriate clearances are renewed prior to expiry

  • Assist with data cleanse of security vetting records to ensure accurate records are always maintained in accordance with GDPR guidance

  • Collate and check ID and proof of residence documentation

  • Process all requests effectively, accurately, and efficiently and in accordance with relevant processes and procedures

  • Ensure all employee information is processed and stored in accordance with GDPR


  • This role is full time 37.5 hours per week and is fully remote. The successful candidate will be required to travel onsite for the first 4 weeks for training.

  • Demonstrable IT skills, including Excel and SharePoint

  • Ability to work as a team and autonomy where needed

  • Can demonstrate ability to use your own initiative

  • Analyse and Investigate information and take the lead. This is not a transactional role

  • You must have previous Office Administrative background

  • It would be advantageous, but not essential to have experience in a Security vetting team, We value difference and don't have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you., The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
