Full Job Description

To ensure departmental operating procedures for Flexible Scoping are adhered to by all Decontamination staff in accordance with quality management system, ISO13485.

To participate in the provision of a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patients.

To co-ordinate day to day operational arrangements of the service.

To be the first point of contact for the resolution of internal and external complaints and making routine operational decisions within predetermined procedures.

Take lead responsibility for the training and assessment of staff.

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person with trained or qualified in decontamination of flexible scopes. We are needing someone to support the team with good organisational skills and knowledge of the role. Previous experience in scoping decontamination is therefore, an essential.

We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).

This is a full time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week normally on a rolling rota basis with shifts between 08.00am and 20.00pm plus 8 Sundays on call per year. This can be discussed further at the interview stage.
