Sawyer and CNC Machine Operator

Use of a computer to retrieve DXF files to be cut from natural and man-made stone alternatives
- Programming the saw and or router to perform drilling, grooving, cutting and edge profiling
- Taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Documenting actions by completing production and quality logs
- Ensuring to follow production schedules and maintain production quotas
- Ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency
- Operating overhead cranes / and or a forklift
- Taking direction well, good attitude, punctual, hardworking
- Standing for long periods with frequent lifting and bending
- Reading construction drawings
- Following direction from foreman to meet production deadlines

Related education and/or previous experience in a similar industry and/or currently working in the trade
- Computer literacy skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with a team and make sound decisions
- High level of responsibility and reliability
- Fluent in English desirable but not essential
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to perform general daily maintenance on the machine, the tooling, and keep a clean and organized work area

Working conditions:

- Lifting and manipulation of cladding panels with assistance
- Can be a wet and noisy environment
- Use of personal protection equipment is required (e.g., hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses)
