Full Job Description

Within Causeway, the Salesforce platform forms the operational backbone of the business. It is not just a CRM system or a sales tool but is used by all areas of the business including Finance, Services and Support and is also central to our e-commerce solution. You will be responsible for the health of our Salesforce platform across all areas of the business. The administrator will ensure that best practice is followed. You will seek out in-efficiencies, in both process and system use and make recommendations for improvement. Under the guidance of the Salesforce Consultant, you will use your technical abilities to configure the platform, to leverage Salesforce.com and its database, to provide a world-class operational backbone. Following our continuous improvement program, you will be key to ensuring that the platform does not become static but is constantly evolving and meeting ever evolving user requirements.

The key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Technical expertise on all things Salesforce

  • Continuous improvement to ensure we get the maximum from the platform

  • Training and support so our users have a great experience


  • Technical Expertise
  • You need to stay updated on the platform's new tools, capabilities and updates. These needs to documented and recommendations for any new adoption put forward to the Salesforce Consultant

  • Managing Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows and groups.

  • Monitor and report on access levels and usage

  • Perform database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic test and duplicate entry cleansing

  • Maintain and update of sandbox areas for testing

  • Evaluating and installing new Salesforce releases

  • Create and maintain archive for field history tables

  • Install High-Priority updates from Salesforce.com

  • Run quarterly database maintenance reports


  • Continuous Improvement
  • Work with the Salesforce Consultant to refine stakeholder requirements, make recommendations for delivery and then to customize the platform to deliver that

  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend / implement solutions

  • Building custom reports and dashboards as required

  • Keeping up to date on Salesforce functionality and making recommendations on how Causeway may leverage the functionality for improvement

  • Documenting processes

  • Ensure governance is followed for all system improvements and updates


  • Training and Support
  • Put in place training programs including e-learning, so our users get the most from Salesforce

  • Define best practice and ensure it is followed

  • Address user issues as they arise in a timely manor in line with defined SLA's

  • Deliver training workshops as required

  • Keep our training platform up to date as changes are made to the main system

  • Ensure that the platform is being used correctly and inefficiently and highlight any issues

    Salesforce Certified Administrator

  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems in a similar environment

  • Experience in performing Salesforce upgrades

  • Demonstrated experience in developing custom objects and declarative automation.

  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation

  • In-Depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities including but not limited to Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, CPQ and Billing

  • Proficiency in managing security access, sharing and role hierarchies

  • Knowledge of importing data and ensuring data integrity

  • Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support

  • Ability to produce reports, dashboards and views


  • Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of PSA systems

  • Knowledge of Jira - including System Administration and integration to Salesforce

  • Knowledge of NetSuite

  • Integration of Salesforce to an e-commerce platform

  • Knowledge of Natterbox administration and set up, Good communicator at all levels

  • You will be motivated, team orientated and passionate about Salesforce technology

  • Ability to understand complex problems and be able to relate them to the Salesforce platform

  • Ability to document processes and procedures

  • Ability to understand user requirements for the system

  • Ability to explain complex subjects in an easy-to-understand way

  • Ability to produce training documentation in a way users can easily understand it
