Sales and Marketing Assistant - Sports Sector

As a Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager. Within the role you will be responsible for a range of activities including:

• Proactively pitching sales to a variety of businesses within the industry, primarily through telesales.


• Researching and identifying new sales opportunities, developing a pipeline of leads.


• Reviewing and analyzing past sales to generate repeat/new targets.


• Following up with sales and ensuring clients are satisfied and engaged with the brand for future events.


• Conducting sales visits as required.


• Supporting the company's marketing efforts through online campaigns and social media.


• Exhibiting strong communication and presentation skills.


• Serving as the on-site contact at events when necessary.


• Attending international and high-profile domestic events as part of the core team.


• Updating and maintaining contacts on the CRM database.
  
  This role is ideally suited for a recent graduate or an individual with a year or less of sales experience, with a passion for sports. The ideal candidate must possess:


• Excellent phone manner.


• Tenacity, time-oriented, and organizational skills.


• Friendliness and the ability to work well in a team.


• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• Understanding of targeting strategies.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of a CRM system is an advantage.
