Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a professional, experienced UK Sales Manager to market and sell our products nationwide.

As an integral part of the growing sales team, your purpose and vision are to drive sales. You will be confident in using sales data to approach key decision makers to effectively engage and influence. You will enjoy identifying new opportunities to increase our brand presence and optimise sales.

You will be responsible for dealer sales across the UK and this is a field based role and involves travelling with regular overnight stays.

The role:

· You will be responsible for a specific sales territory, identifying potential customers and converting them to valued customers. In representing the team, you will always strive to provide an excellent customer experience.

  • Planning and carrying out customer visits to a regular agreed schedule to ensure full coverage of the UK area. Adhering to company policy and procedures in all aspects of sales and marketing activities including servicing all aspects of customer service relationships including sales, promotions, assistance with after sales service.

  • Collecting and reporting market intelligence information and adhering and contributing to the company's management information and sales database systems including submission of weekly activity reports. The company will provide you with a laptop and training in its large range of furniture products.

  • Providing support to your customers on enquiries emanating from the internet, e-mail, telephone or postal enquiries.


  • · The role requires highly motivated individuals, who understand that every contact with a potential customer, whether they buy or not, will impact on future sales as building our brand can deliver great returns. Finding the most effective ways to sell within your territory will be up to you.
  • Attendance at public, trade and dealer/park shows including participation in and supervision of build up and breakdown activities.

  • Attendance and participation on a weekly basis at meetings of the Sales and Marketing team at our Ebbw Vale site.

  • Completing Tenders for Key accounts

  • Any other duties that the company may assign to you from time to time within the range of your skills and experience.

  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work autonomously, using your time effectively and planning efficiently.

  • A passion for sales and a true advocate of our brand portfolio.

  • A very keen eye for detail.

  • Great organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively.

  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Marketing skills in social media e.g.Linkedin posts

  • Excellent computer skills especially in Microsoft suite

  • A full clean UK driving license.

  • Having a degree whilst not essential is desirable

  • Sales: 5 years (required), GCSE or equivalent (preferred), Retail sales: 5 years (preferred)

  • Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

  • Retail management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

    Advanced Furniture have been making education and general contract furniture for 45 years and are a long established progressive manufacturer. We moved to a purposely designed 100,000 sq. foot factory in 2017 and we looking to keep on continually expand our sales every year as we have done for many years.
