Full Job Description

As our Reward Partner, you'll support in the management of all aspects of employee reward & wellbeing. You will provide day-to-day guidance and insights to the business and within the People Team, whilst also delivering wider reward initiatives and projects to serve our broader business goals. Reporting to the Head of Reward, ultimately you will help manage the execution of total reward in order to optimise attraction, engagement, productivity and retention of our key talent.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with OVO's business areas in order to understand their plans and priorities and provide relevant, pro-active reward solutions for their teams.

  • Maintaining the ongoing execution of our career level pay framework, ideally with experience of conducting job evaluation and benchmarking via Willis Towers Watson, providing job levelling and salary benchmarking proposals for job moves, promotions and salary reviews.

  • Ensuring the employee journey is clear and engaging by maintaining appropriate communication content and working closely with the internal communications team to plan engaging and targeted reward communications throughout the year.

  • Increasing employee awareness, transparency and understanding of reward by supporting our business leaders and facilitating face-to-face sessions.

  • Working with the Head of Reward to manage the execution and delivery of cyclical reward projects, including pay review and bonus through Workday.

  • Assisting and leading on a variety of tactical projects, supporting business change, group transformational/M&A activity, system improvements etc.

  • Assisting with the management of employee share schemes.

  • Partnering with the finance team to ensure that key costs (e.g. bonus accrual, salary budgets) are correctly tracked.

  • Mentoring other team members to share knowledge, upskill and build careers.

  • Managing any modeling and data analysis for key activity through the year, such as pay review, bonus, gender pay reporting, annual benefit renewals and other policy updates.

  • Maintaining constructive dialogue with external networks to identify key trends in the market, you will ensure our reward propositions are best in class, providing appropriate input from external advisors and market data.

  • Monitoring and analysing current policies and practices, both internally and utilising external networks / insights, to identify and make recommendations for improvement or change.

  • Advising on and handling relevant queries day-to-day from people partners, people leaders, payroll and our people across the business.

    Systems: Experience with Workday and WTW is desirable., Are confident working in a complex, fast-paced, progressive environment.

  • Have experience with compensation and benefits in a large organisation.

  • Can adapt, manage ambiguity and resilience to work positively under pressure.

  • Have experience in partnering with teams to understand, analyse and recommend Reward solutions that solve business problems.

  • A positive determination and tenacity to find a way through complex situations and someone who loves finding ways to better things - a real problem solver!

  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple time sensitive projects, including but not limited to annual pay and bonus cycles.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and employees.

  • Confidence in articulating thoughts clearly in order to influence senior leaders.

  • Experience across the full, or broad parts of, the total reward cycle.

  • Experience of conducting job evaluation and salary benchmarking (ideally Willis Towers Watson) and appreciate its practical application in a fast moving and diverse business.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and strong excel or Google Sheets skills

    This role in a nutshell:

    This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, progressive Reward specialist to join our People team. This is a role that offers immediate exposure to all areas of the business where you will help deliver and develop the total reward agenda.

    The role is a 12-month FTC while a member of our team goes on new-addition leave.

    We'll pay you between £60K and £70K, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

    You'll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
