Full Job Description

As a Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for motivating teams in dual sites, across one of our key airport estates to increase sales across both store & ATM, leading and inspiring teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement through coaching and onsite training. You will identify areas of development through sales analysis against set targets & store KPIs, creating a culture of excellence driving high performance and continuous improvement.
What you will do:

  • Sales Leadership - Lead and inspire teams to achieve and exceed sales targets through onsite training and coaching, tracking daily sales activities in order to measure short term / long term sales performance

  • Building and leading high-performing teams across different sites, requiring effective communication and leadership skills. Implementing strategies to maintain a cohesive and engaged workforce.

  • Ensure 100% adherence to regulatory requirements, KYC, sales & financial reporting, training completion, and airport location policy

  • Complete financial analysis, reporting and planning to accurately plan, forecast and budget. Implementing strategies to maximise revenue and control costs while considering the unique economic factors of each location. Drive profitability and EBITDA core business KPIs, focusing on revenue and turnover growth.

  • Establishing comprehensive KPIs for each site and implementing robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms. - Providing insightful analysis and recommendations based on performance data from stores.

  • Assist in business planning and improvements analysis on performance by store/team & individual to measure productivity and identifying areas of achievement and improvement

  • Attend daily standups to address previous days sales figures, celebrating the successes and understanding the challenges

  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that each customer interaction delivers faultless customer service

  • Address any operational challenges or customer issues promptly, seeking innovative solutions to maintain customer satisfaction

  • Drive incremental growth by consistently reviewing stores / ATMs to ensure that they are in the right places, have the right signage to attract

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer preferences to proactively adapt strategies

    A demonstrable track record of dual site sales delivery in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Background in a highly procedural / KYC process heavy role desirable

  • Strong understanding of risk in a retail and financial services environment; commercial acumen ability to apply solid commercial judgment in area of expertise

  • Understanding of retail sales culture and ability to work closely with on-the-ground sales teams, motivating staff to achieve sales targets

  • Strong process and procedure capabilities

  • Customer centric, with exceptional customer service skills

  • Appraise current and future customer needs and advise on application of product to match customer requirements

  • Change management

  • Drive customer focus in everything we do to gain and retain high quality customers for the long term success of Travelex
