Retail Sales Assistant

The Sales assistant is accountable for ensuring that all customer transactions and other activities in store are in line with and compliant with our company policies and procedures.

The sales assistant will help with the general day to day operations of the nursery, duties include:

Helping and advising/serving customers, upselling

General work around the shop and counter including working the till and switch machine, and answering the phone

Maintain displays and general tidiness'

General horticultural work around the nursery including;

Weeding, growing, potting, sowing, trimming, pruning, labelling, watering, sweeping etc.

This is a fantastic opportunity looking to improve their knowledge plants of gardening in general. There are progression opportunities for management positions for the right candidate.

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED SALES assistant with a background in retail sales and interest in plants., Minimum 2+ years retail sales experience or independent store required for application.

You must be positive, enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated. Whilst knowledge of gardening and plants is helpful it is not required.,

Over time available in busy periods

The nursery is open seven days a week 10am - 4pm. Working hours will be based around these opening times, occasionally a little earlier or a little later.
