Respiratory Support Worker

To communicate with all members of the multi-professional team, regarding changes in the patient's condition or any other useful information. To communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential. To ensure all information is obtained prior to out-patient consultation to ensure best possible patient experience. Communication skills of persuasion, motivation and explanation will be needed. Barriers to effective communication will regularly be evident including cognitive impairment, breathlessness, embarrassment, anxiety, pain, fear and visual/hearing impairments.
