West Yorkshire Police are looking to appoint a Resourcing Supervisor to manage a team of Resourcing Assistants ensuring the delivery of a professional effective resourcing service., Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last three years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused because it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.

The Resourcing Department is fast paced, dealing constantly with high volumes of recruitment activity across all Districts and Departments within the Force, activity which often requires a quick turnaround. Effective processes and the optimum use of our IT systems is vital to ensuring we deliver an efficient service and a good customer experience; we are therefore looking for you to be customer focussed, have previous experience of process improvement along with a good knowledge of IT systems.

Drawing upon your prior experience within a HR/Recruitment environment and your working knowledge of HR policies and procedures you will oversee the various stages of the recruitment journey, ensuring measures are in place to both track activity and ensure that agreed standards are being met, as well as supporting managers with advice and guidance in relation to the interpretation of policy and legislation.

Ideally, you will have proven experience of managing a team within a fast paced environment and have studied, or be working towards, a CIPD qualification.

27 days annual leave which will increase to 32 days after 5 years (not including Bank Holidays).
