Full Job Description

  • Proactively source, book, engage, pencil, and raise requisitions for PAYE or LTD freelancers and shoot staff. Adjust and release bookings as needed.

  • Manage internal communications regarding shared resource allocations across the organisation.

  • Amend existing bookings and facilitate the new starter/extension process with relevant teams.

  • Collaborate with HR to book and provide business justifications.

  • Request and gather information for HR (RTW, address, DOB, CV, reel, NI, company info, work elsewhere).

  • Ensure comprehensive onboarding across all relevant BBC tools/systems/tech/equipment/access for new starters.

  • Proactively address technical difficulties by liaising with IT directly. Log and troubleshoot or raise IT tickets as required.

  • Assist with access/permissions (AWS, Monday.com, Teams, Getty, Adobe fonts, Dropbox, Box, Getty, Font library, servers, GLAM, Timewax, Adobe licensing).

  • Add freelancers to email distribution lists and meeting invites.

  • Order and log kit/asset numbers, manage kit returns via courier.

  • Coordinate building inductions/access, new staff pass issuance, and pass extension activation.

  • Direct new starters to appropriate teams for assistance.


  • DAY TO DAY

    Resourcing / Allocation Management
  • Oversee all annual leave bookings for the team, updating the specified systems accordingly.

  • Attend core allocation and campaign meetings to plan and update teams on resource bookings, and discuss required freelancer skill sets.

  • Negotiate day rates in line with BBC policies.

  • Update resource management systems with booking details.

  • Communicate project scope and work requirements to freelancers.

  • Address payment queries and connect freelancers with Contractor Recruitment for support.

  • Update budgets and month-end documentation with final resource costs.


  • The role requires forward planning, budget management, and ownership of resource allocations.

    We are on the hunt for a detail-oriented individual with a good understanding of networking to lead our search for top creative and production freelance talent across our EMEA territories., Experience in booking or managing audio/edit suites, talent, film crew, freelancers, and onboarding new starters.

  • Experience in resource management or HR, production or office administration.

  • An understanding of freelance tax law.

  • Experience in maintaining, planning and updating budgets.

  • Understanding of different disciplines required for creative work.

  • Experience in managing and maintaining a resource management system at a junior level.

  • Experience in maintaining office systems and creating new workflows where appropriate.

  • Previous experience in engaging freelance staff and crew.


  • DESIRABLE
  • Having an understanding of social and digital talent resourcing would be beneficial.

  • Familiarity with broadcast or creative teams.

  • An interest in creative content and output.
