Full Job Description

Manage the day to day running of the work allocation process to include:

  • Reviewing new NHS Resolution instructions to identify instruction type, key risk indicators, conflicts and additional information which needs to be considered when allocating/acknowledging. If any conflicts arise, liaise with supervising partners/Risk and Compliance Team to investigate further. Liaise with lawyers to confirm deemed service of proceedings, if required

  • Review allocation lists in order to allocate to appropriate lawyer and seek confirmation from lawyer that they can accept the instruction

  • Complete ARK form and email to ARK team so they can open file, together with any associated client papers, asking them to undertake secondary conflict checks. In instructing email, include any additional information which may be of benefit to lawyers, admins or ARK Team

  • Complete Work Allocation Triage emails if required

  • Complete Member Instruction Forms for all non-NHS Resolution Trust matters, requesting conflict check and attaching all relevant papers, and send to ARK team to open file

  • Manage mailboxes including Healthcare Div New Instructions, Healthcare Div Resource Coordinators, NHSR New Instructions and NHSRservice, and also act as point of contact for Damages Claims Portal, liaising with ARK and Legal Director when required

  • Prepare daily Legal Admin rota, allocating instructions and tasks to Admin Team members.

    Previous administrative experience

  • Proficient in MS Office packages

  • Good literacy and numeracy

  • Good typing skills

    Kennedys Healthcare division advise the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics and practitioners on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. The team advise on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters and represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews.

    The Resource Coordinator role is one which will incorporate Legal Administrator responsibilities within Healthcare
