Full Job Description

The Recruitment Business Partner (RBP) will deliver multiple end-to-end permanent recruitment campaigns and temporary recruitment via our managed service provider, ensuring campaigns are run effectively and compliantly in terms of legislation, best practice and in support of our employer brand. This will include providing advice to hiring managers, managing suppliers and providing administrative support throughout the hiring process. You will manage campaigns often of a unique and technical nature requiring knowledge of details and bespoke talent acquisition strategies.

  • Deliver a high quality and timely end-to-end in-house recruitment service, including approval, planning, advertising, short list and interview, and pre-boarding, ensuring the best talent is appointed in a timely and effective manner.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their resourcing requirements, providing advice and agreeing recruitment plans. Manage the fulfilment of individual vacancies effectively in an open and consistent manner and one which promotes the RSSB recruitment brand.

  • Ensure ongoing engagement with candidates and stakeholders to support recruitment objectives, and compliance with all stages of the recruitment processes, including GDPR, Equality Act 2010, and RSSB Recruitment policy.

  • Incorporate equality, diversity, and inclusion principles into all aspects of recruitment and selection, supporting the team in completing clear company tasks aimed at achieving platinum accreditation. Champion diversity and inclusivity initiatives within the recruitment process.

  • Ensure effective administration of recruitment campaigns, including managing candidates via the ATS, setting up filing systems, and recording campaign information.

  • Continually review and improve resourcing systems, user guides, processes and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose.

  • Manage the offer and on-boarding process including pre-employment checks.

  • Provide advice on job descriptions and support job evaluations.

  • Work with the HRBPs and Finance BPs with respect to raising and filling vacancies.

  • Manage all costs relating to recruitment activity and ensure value for money.

  • Continuously maintain and enhance the existing social media recruitment strategy, including regularly reviewing and updating RSSB profiles on platforms such as Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn.

  • Use data and analytics to inform recruitment strategies and present the data periodically to our executives. Analyse recruitment metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage all temporary recruitment through the managed service provider, oversee the temp process through to offer, ensure KPIs are met, and manage the MSP portal. Manage IR35 assessments., Take responsibility and demonstrate accountability in completing tasks and achieving objectives, actively seeking to resolve problems and identify opportunities.

    Proven in-house recruitment experience with the ability to make robust decisions and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience of direct sourcing methodologies and tools including writing adverts, agreeing advertising media, and using LinkedIn recruiter etc.

  • Substantial experience of using Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Ability to advise on and write job descriptions and person specifications.

  • Substantial experience of managing multiple end-to-end recruitment campaigns at all levels.

  • Experience of managing candidates e.g. salary discussions, tele-phone interviews.

  • Experience of selection methodologies including developing in-house materials and buying off the shelf and providing advice on interview questions and selection outcomes.

  • Comfortable undertaking recruitment administration.

  • Able to negotiate and influence line managers to achieve good recruitment outcomes.

  • Ability to build relationships and professional credibility with senior executives/directors. Able to build trust, respect and openness and become a trusted advisor.

  • Intermediate capability Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of recruitment best practices, including relevant legislation such as GDPR, Equality Act, AWR, and IR35.

  • Communicate effectively and share thoughts and ideas through methods appropriate to the audience.

  • Adapt and respond effectively when embracing new opportunities, change and in navigating uncertainty.

  • Actively contribute as part of a team and work towards achieving team goals and outcomes.
