Receptionist - Mon to Fri 20 Hours

Receptionists work within an organisation to help it run smoothly. They greet visitors, answer phone calls, and run errands while maintaining professional composure throughout interactions with customers or potential clients.

Taking and directing calls, through a switchboard
Undertake testing of fire alarms and call points with contractors
Building walks and checks
Completing administrative tasks
Cleaning, organising, and maintaining the reception area
Keeping basic office supplies like pens stocked and accessible to visitors
Signing in visitors and supplying them visitor's badges
Greeting visitors to the facility warmly and offering them help immediately
Providing customer support
Answering questions about products or services offered at the business
Answering questions about office hours and who is in the office at any given time
Interacting with other departments such as contractors for the building
Maintaining front door security and reporting any suspicious activity
Representing the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance
Engaging in public relations and marketing to a minor degree

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join us at Pease House, The Priory, Tilehouse Street, Hitchin, SG5 The successful candidate will be reliable and have good attention to detail.

• £12.60 per hour


• Roster - Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 12:00 & Week 2: Monday to Friday 13:00 to 17:00 - this will be working on a rotation with another receptionist.


• Average 20hrs per week plus overtime available.
