Full Job Description
- To ensure a welcoming and friendly approach for all Visitors to the Home
- To provide administrative support in a range of business areas
- Reception Duties:
- To ensure a welcoming and friendly approach when visitors arrive at Abbeyfield Loughborough, on occasions, showing round potential Residents and their families.
- To deal with general enquiries via the telephone, email or in person, in relation to the Care Home, and directing more detailed enquiries to the relevant person
- To ensure all relevant information relating to Residents is issued, collated and recorded appropriately
- To ensure management information regarding occupancy , enquiry levels and other relevant data is kept up to date.
- To ensure all necessary administrative processes are carried out in relation to residents' personal services such as hairdressing, chiropody, opticians, petty cash etc
- To process and distribute incoming and outgoing post
- To produce and distribute memos, letters, etc at the request of the Assistant Manager
- To take and produce minutes of meetings as required
- To balance petty cash on a monthly basis
- To provide administrative support in relation to staff annual leave requests
- To keep up to date with the Data Protection Act & GDPR and ensure all processes conform to those requirements
- To assist with the filing and archiving of documents relating areas designated by the Assistant Manager from the retention schedule in relation to GDPR requirements
· To have GCSE English Language and Maths, or equivalent
Administration Duties:
· To have good interpersonal skills
· To have IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
· To have an attention to detail
· To be organised and able to meet deadlines
· To be able to work under pressure and prioritise workload
· To work well as part of a team
Desirable Requirements:
To hold a valid driving licence
· To have experience of working within a care setting
· To have experience of working within a customer service environment
