Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our small, friendly team as a Reception Supervisor. In this key role, you will lead and support the reception team to provide the highest standards of patient care, ensuring all reception administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice., In addition, you will support the management team in promoting ED&I, SHEF, quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, and to carry out other duties as directed by the management team.

  • GCSE English (C or above) and at least three others

  • Experience of working with the general public

  • Experience of administrative duties

  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting

  • Experience of leading/managing a team

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong IT skills (generic)

    Chorleywood Health Centre, founded in 1926 and absorbed into the NHS in 1948, is a well-established medical practice located in the village of Chorleywood. Our purpose-built facility is conveniently situated near the M25 (junction J18) and accessible via tube and overground lines. As part of The Rickmansworth and Chorleywood Primary Care Network, we are committed to providing high-quality and accessible care to enhance the health and lives of our patients.


  • The practice 7,300 patient list is served by 4 GPs together with a multidisciplinary clinical team including advanced practitioners, practice nurses, first contact physiotherapist, clinical pharmacists supported by an experienced reception and administrative team. We are a teaching, training and research practice.

    Please note this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

  • Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (applicants must be available for shifts from 7:45 am - 7.00pm)
