Full Job Description

The Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator will contribute to providing high-level quality assurance (QA) advice and guidance to Divisions and University managers, in order to ensure a consistent and robust approach to compliance with internal and external quality assurance requirements and expectations.

The role holder will provide administrative support across a range of areas and will be based within the central office. They will also work with Divisions and other relevant Professional Services, to ensure efficient and professional delivery of information, related policies and services to staff and students.

This will involve proactively providing advice and guidance that will contribute to a high level of QA compliance, with effective deployment of resource, as required.

What you can expect to be involved with as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator:

  • Provide clear and accurate advice to University staff and external stakeholders to assist with the oversight of compliance with the University's Quality Assurance requirements and promote good practice.

  • Maintain relevant areas of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Office's website and SharePoint pages, writing content, publishing papers and reports, and providing accurate and accessible information for website visitors.

  • Manage a caseload of student appeals ensuring accurate and timely information is obtained from Divisions and other departments, so that the Appeals Case Managers can make decisions about upholding or dismissing individual appeals.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Quality Assurance and Compliance Advisors, Education Policy Manager, and the Head of Quality Assurance.

    Educated to A Level, including GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualification or experience

  • A high level of experience in using MS 365 packages including SharePoint, PowerApps, Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases, and the ability to find innovative solutions through the use of IT

  • Proficient in prioritising competing responsibilities, working under pressure and meeting conflicting deadlines and targets

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
