It's an exciting time to join the Marketing and Communications team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To contribute towards the proposition development of our class-leading AXA Health Plan, we're looking for a talented individual to join the team.

As Proposition Lead for Insured Propositions, you'll be responsible for owning the proposition development and commercial optimisation of our digital private medical and travel, dental and optical insurance products.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the proposition development of our class-leading, digital modular PMI proposition for new distribution channels and audiences.

  • Own the proposition development of related health and travel-related propositions in market. Lead the insight-through to execution phases.

  • Work with our Digital Delivery and Change teams to fulfil that the 'What?' and 'Why?' of new propositions.

  • Develop the customer and business reporting framework, lead cross-functional review sessions, and create the feedback loop for impactful development.

  • Lead the partner selection and delivery of new service models.

  • Line manage and coach a team of three, developing strong development plans to support a high performing team.

  • Proactively introduce and optimise loyalty propositions within core products that drive customer loyalty and lifetime value.

  • Ensure that there is a strong risk management framework in place to govern proposition development.

    Demonstrable experience in developing digital and non-digital products from insight to launch phase, within a regulated sector.

  • Experience of developing actionable customer insight to drive proposition concept design.

  • Good understanding of the dynamics and trends within the UK Healthcare sector.

  • Strong understanding of the regulation relating to the development of financial services products.

  • Good awareness of cost and pricing models as applied to the delivery of products in regulated markets.

  • Understanding of procurement processes, the development of new target operating models and the onboarding of new partners.

  • Ability to proactively create risk management frameworks to manage financial, non-financial and clinical risk.

  • Adept at nurturing talent and creating thoughtful personal development plans to constituently improve the delivery of the team.

  • Understanding of the commercial dynamics of target sectors and leading the financial modelling of new proposition development business cases.

  • Project management skills with demonstrable experience of go-to-market plans that deliver propositions on time and in control.


  • As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

    This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
