The position serves as a key support for the London M&A and Private Equity practices, focussing on assisting partners in London and throughout the EMEA region with strategic proposals. It represents the opportunity to engage with partners, exert influence, and foster motivation, all while facilitating the realisation of the Firm's strategic objectives.

The Proposals Manager will also contribute to driving growth and client targeting efforts in London and across EMEA whilst offering a platform to actively shape and execute the Firm's strategic agenda.,

  • Leading the preparation of pitches, proposals, and client presentations for London Corporate and Private Equity partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables within deadlines. Coordinating smaller pitches and capability statements with BD Coordinators and Specialists, offering guidance as needed

  • Providing support to EMEA Corporate and Private Equity practices on global panel proposals and taking the lead on smaller panel RFPs in the region. Managing and reporting on RFP activity, producing regular reports on pitch volumes and success rates, addressing potential issues with Directors/Partners

  • Managing beauty parade rehearsals, developing tactics, and preparing content in collaboration with partners and client teams. Gathering competitor intelligence for key RFP responses.

  • Owning the pitching proposal process, including Stop/Go decisions and feedback to enhance Firm best practices continually. Ensuring accurate recording of pitch opportunities on InterAction and utilising proposal systems for effective metrics tracking across EMEA

  • Attending proposal kick-off and progress meetings, updating timetables, and preparing meeting agendas and summaries. Conducting high-level pitch feedback reviews with clients and presenting relevant data at partner meetings

  • Collaborating with global BD teams to maintain the firm's proposal management system and ensure consistency in approach. Coordinating with EMEA BD teams and the Head of Proposals to share best practices and maintain proposal infrastructure

  • Developing and maintaining EMEA Corporate proposal collateral, including boilerplate text, pitchbook, credentials, and bio bank. Actively promoting information sharing and best practices across the Firm's network, supporting firmwide pitch-related initiatives and projects, We are a global law firm with longstanding offices in the markets that matter today.   • Location and Reporting
    This role is based in London, and reports into the Senior BD Manager, M&A/Corporate.
    Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.

  • Degree-educated with over four years' relevant experience in a professional services firm, ideally legal

  • High proficiency in systems and database skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM applications, with familiarity in pitch automation tools as a plus

  • Proficiency in proposal activities within international professional services firms, collaborating with partners, fee earners, and senior management

  • Deep understanding of international professional services firm practices, particularly in law firm environments

  • Demonstrated success in managerial roles, with strong influencing, negotiating, and coaching skills at a partner level

  • Preferential experience in Corporate or Private Equity practice, coupled with exceptional written and oral communication skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Proven track record in project management, including delivering pitches and proposals, with a proactive and assertive approach

  • Ability to handle tight deadlines, manage multiple projects under pressure, and coordinate production of multi-jurisdictional, multi-practice proposals, demonstrating initiative and teamwork in a client service-oriented environment

  • Demonstrable discretion with confidential information and ability to contribute positively to team dynamics in a supportive, high-performing environment
