Full Job Description

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing electrical fixtures, plumbing systems, appliances and general maintenance tasks.

  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property management.

  • Handle repairs for walls, floors, doors, windows, and other structural elements as needed.

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised repairs or services beyond in-house capabilities.

  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and waste disposal.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, corridors, and other shared spaces.

  • Support property improvement projects and renovations as directed by supervisors.

    Proven experience in property maintenance, building repair, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques.

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.

  • Good physical condition and stamina to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.

  • Solid organisational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with tenants, colleagues, and contractors.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required., Facilities maintenance: 2 years (required)

    This position typically involves working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions.

  • Physical demands include lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.

  • May require flexibility in working hours and availability for emergency maintenance calls.

    Pay: £24,400.00-£30,000.00 per year
