Full Job Description

  • Responsibility for drafting and reviewing various contracts which may include, purchase agreements, lease contracts, financing agreements, and property development contracts.

  • Undertake due diligence such as zoning restrictions, environmental and building code compliance.

  • Provide strategic and commercial advice to the business including the Operational Directors, Property Director, the Property & Estates Management Team and Asset Management Team. Working closely with the business, being proactive in identifying potential risk for the business and offering solutions.

  • Assist with the management of a small amount of dispute resolution/litigation.

  • Responsible for maintaining, developing, drafting, and reviewing a suite of precedent lease and related documents and toolkits. Actively seeking opportunities to enhance the legal, commercial, and operational processes supporting their fully managed offering.

  • Supporting the business to meet its strategic priorities, its regulatory and compliance obligations, and to minimise its risk.

  • Providing in-house training and know-how to teams on property documentation and other relevant legal topics.

  • Advising the business on new and proposed UK legislative developments and identifying risks and benefits to the business.

  • Instruct, engage and manage our external lawyers as necessary.
