This is an exciting time to be joining the Fares, Ticketing and Retail (FTR) programme within GBRTT! FTR is moving into delivery phase with many of its projects, which means working collaboratively with the railway industry to bring positive impact and change within industry structures. This is fundamental towards creating a simpler, better railway experience for everyone in Britain.

This is a once in a generation opportunity to significantly transform the customer experience by modernising ticketing, simplifying journeys, removing barriers, and ensuring people are charged fairly.

You will be working across FTR's work packages, including delivering Pay As You Go (PAYG) solutions, Transforming Digital Experience (TDE), Modernise Physical Retailing (MPR) and Provide Better, Simpler Fares. About the role….

This role requires someone with the ability to lead the delivery of the outline business cases (OBCs) and full business cases (FBCs) for projects within the FTR Programme.

Within the role, you will be utilising excellent stakeholder management skills whilst ensuring business cases are delivered effectively. You will also drive successful project outcomes to drive optimum delivery of outputs, including planning at the level appropriate to the complexity of the business case and deliverables so that business cases and deliverables are delivered to time, cost and quality.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide professional, first class, consistent and effective business case project management service to GBRTT clients.

  • Experience working with Green Book business cases

  • Experienced in successfully delivering projects of varying complexity within different industries

  • Proven track record in delivering successful, complex projects with business change

  • Proven experience in management of customer expectations, senior stakeholders and developing strong relationships across the business with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience of business requirements gathering

  • Strong leadership skills; motivating and inspiring confidence in others with high levels of flexibility and adaptability.

  • Strong financial management skills and commercial acumen
